| Average Talk Ratio Average share of call time where the rep is speaking, expressed as a percentage. | Calls | Lagging | AVG(interactionStats.talkRatio) | % |
| Emails Sent Total number of outreach emails sent by the rep in the period. | Activity_stats | Leading | SUM(emailsSent) | count |
| Email Reply Rate Ratio of emails that received a reply over emails sent. | Activity_stats | Lagging | COUNT_RATIO | % |
| Dial Connect Rate Ratio of dials that resulted in a live connection over total dials. | Activity_stats | Lagging | COUNT_RATIO | % |
| Scorecards Completed Number of call scorecards completed by the reviewer in the period. | Scorecards | Leading | COUNT | count |
| Flow Replies Received Number of prospect replies received on cadence sequences owned by the rep. | Flow_instances | Lagging | COUNT | count |
Gong exposes several object types: calls with transcripts and interaction statistics, activity statistics aggregated by user and period, scorecard evaluations, and Engage flow instances. This integration focuses on calls, activity statistics, scorecards, and flow instances — the four objects that carry direct per-rep performance signals. Pipeline value and deal-stage data are not part of Gong's scope; that layer belongs to the CRM. Seven KPIs were retained, selected against three criteria: ability to attribute to an owner by email, resistance to gaming when read in pairs, and balance between leading indicators of activity and lagging indicators of conversation quality.
Calls Completed counts the number of customer conversations a rep initiated or owned in the period. This is a leading indicator: it reflects activity discipline and creates the pipeline of coaching opportunities that managers need to assess. Taken in isolation, it is also the easiest indicator in this integration to inflate — a rep can increase call count by shortening conversations or recycling existing contacts.
Average Talk Ratio measures the share of call time during which the rep is speaking. Research across large call datasets consistently associates a rep talk share in the 40-50% range with higher conversion outcomes; above that threshold, the rep tends to present rather than discover. This indicator is structurally resistant to gaming: a rep who artificially lowers their talk ratio by staying silent during calls does not improve conversation quality, and the resulting calls tend to produce no outcome, which surfaces in downstream CRM data. When read against Calls Completed, the pair reveals whether a rep's volume is matched by conversational discipline: high volume combined with a high talk ratio identifies a pattern of product pitching rather than needs discovery.
Emails Sent measures the volume of outbound emails dispatched through Gong Engage sequences in the period. It is a leading indicator of prospecting activity, not of quality. A rep can increase this number by sending to broader, less qualified lists, by accelerating cadence steps, or by duplicating sequences — none of which improves outcome. For this reason, Emails Sent is not interpreted alone.
Email Reply Rate measures the proportion of sent emails that received a reply from a prospect. It captures the combined effect of targeting relevance, subject line quality, and message content. This indicator can only be improved by sending better messages or narrowing the audience — both of which require genuine work. Together, Emails Sent and Email Reply Rate describe the efficiency of the outreach operation: a high volume with a low reply rate indicates broadcast behavior; a lower volume with a high reply rate indicates targeted, well-crafted outreach. The contrast between these two patterns has direct implications for pipeline quality.
Dial Connect Rate measures the proportion of dials that resulted in a live conversation. For SDR and BDR roles, this indicator captures two things simultaneously: the quality of the contact list and the timing of outreach attempts. A declining connect rate on an unchanged list signals a need to revise outreach timing or prospect targeting. Because the denominator is total dials and the numerator requires a live human on the other end, this indicator cannot be inflated through rep behavior alone.
Scorecards Completed counts the number of structured call reviews submitted by a reviewer — typically a manager or team lead — in the period. This KPI is attributed to the reviewer, not the rep being evaluated. It measures coaching activity as a management discipline: how consistently the manager reviews calls against a defined rubric. This is a leading indicator of team performance over time. Organizations with high scorecard completion rates tend to surface skill gaps earlier and correct behavioral patterns faster than those where coaching is informal or reactive.
Flow Replies Received counts the number of prospect replies generated by cadence sequences owned by a given rep. Unlike Email Reply Rate, which is a ratio, this is an absolute count. It serves a complementary diagnostic function: two reps with identical reply rates may generate very different absolute reply volumes if their sequence activity levels differ. Reading Flow Replies Received alongside Emails Sent and Email Reply Rate enables a full picture of the prospecting engine — volume, efficiency, and outcome.
Gong records behaviors and conversation patterns, but does not record commercial outcomes. Whether a call that scored well on talk ratio and generated a prospect reply ultimately contributed to a closed deal is not visible within the Gong data alone. That connection requires joining Gong signals with CRM data — a cross-system analysis that falls outside the scope of this integration. Gong KPIs are therefore best interpreted as upstream predictors: they identify behavioral patterns that correlate with performance rather than confirm it.
Additionally, Gong only captures conversations that pass through its platform — calls recorded via the dialer integration, emails sent through Engage, meetings joined via the meeting bot. Conversations conducted through personal email accounts, WhatsApp, or in-person meetings remain invisible. The reliability of these KPIs depends directly on the team's adoption of Gong as their primary outreach and call infrastructure: partial adoption produces partial data, and partial data produces indicators that systematically undercount the activity of reps who work outside the platform.
